Built by Stressed Students, for Stressed Students
How a bunch of highlighters and constant backlog stress led us to build a better way to revise.
The highlighter trap
Back in high school, we did what almost every NEET candidate does: we bought stacks of thick coaching modules, read our NCERT textbooks over and over, and used bright yellow highlighters on almost every line. By the middle of the term, our books looked completely yellow, but we still struggled to remember specific details during tests.
It was super frustrating. We realized that passively scanning pages didn't help us recall the facts during actual exam hours. We were studying hard, but our brains weren't active.
Discovering active recall
One evening, while looking for study tips online, we learned about the concept of **active recall** and **spaced repetition**. The science was simple: testing yourself regularly is the absolute best way to build long-term memory.
We tried using standard flashcard apps, but configuring them for NCERT was too time-consuming. That's when we decided to build a simple, friendly application tailored specifically to the NEET syllabus. We spent nights coding, compiling, and testing so that we could help other students like us.
The goal of MEDNEET
We built MEDNEET to be a supportive study partner:
- A dark, comfortable aesthetic that's easy on your eyes during late-night reviews.
- Pure NCERT line-by-line checks so you stay focused on the official syllabus.
- Streaks and XP badges to make daily revision a tiny bit more fun.
- A weakness indicator to show you exactly which topics need extra care.
We know how much pressure NEET aspirants face. We hope MEDNEET makes your study journey a bit smoother and helps you get into your dream medical college. Remember to take regular breaks, stay hydrated, and don't stress too much!
We are always here to help you out.
